How To Get Out Of A Funk
Maybe the weather is off, it’s super cloudy – or maybe you’re just really bloody moody.
The fact is that sometimes, we can get ourselves into a funk, and it’s not fun to stay there.
I wanted to share with you my three tips for moving through resistance/funky town so that we once again we can join the party.
SIS, STOP RESISTING
What are you resisting? Is there a thought you won’t let yourself think? Is there something you think you cannot do? What boundaries are you giving yourself right now and why? What if it didn’t exist? What if you just let yourself be? What if you let yourself do what you really felt called to do?
Do a big journal session on this and see what comes up.
Maybe you’re not letting yourself feel dissatisfied, or annoyed from something that happened a few days ago because you feel like if you do, you’ll lower your vibe. We’re all human and the more we push these emotions to the ground, it’s only a matter of time before they bubble up to the surface, unwelcome. Invite them to be felt, let them be seen and heard so that they can move through you.
Let yourself want the money.
Let yourself desire more.
Let yourself feel the frustration of that night’s conversation.
Let yourself feel all the feelings.
Contrary to popular belief, doing so doesn’t make you lower your vibe – all this is actually just a natural part of your journey to help you reach your next level. Of course, we don’t want to hang out here 100% of the time, but you’re able to do so without the guilt attached!
MAYBE YOU JUST NEED A BREAK
Well, that’s just it. Maybe you do indeed just need a break. It’s easy to get cranky when you’ve been working hard all day, all week. You need to remember that working also isn’t just when you’re at your desk, sometimes we forget to be mindful and while we could be spending a day out with friends, we can be mind tripping, constantly thinking about the business or your career. You deserve a break – full stop. So let yourself have one :)
GET CREATIVE, BABY
What do you feel like doing? Get outside of the box of things that you normally do and do something that expresses how you feel that you may not necessarily do. You get to live your life the way you want to. The world’s your literal oyster, so go seize the day!
REMEMBER HOW GREAT YOU ARE
Sometimes we get into some real deep negative self talk, and it can be a while before we realise. Sometimes we read something on the internet that makes us start to analyse ourselves in a similar way. Ditch that and begin to build yourself up. How great are you really? *you’re incredible, by the way* Make a list of all the things you’ve achieved and really feel that brighten your soul.
You are magic, you are divine – and sometimes just changing your perspective on how you see yourself is enough to help your mood elevate to *high vibe*
